Most of you who probably end up reading this are mostly likely to be familiar with biid, whether you already know about it, or are a person with biid, whether you actually know you've biid or not.
In order for treatment to progress. Well, more of in order to get any treatment whatsoever, especially effective treatment. Biid must be out in the public eye,
more so than it is now. Although, I will admit that the video currently located at http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/stories/2576978.htm is a good start, and it need to be re-syndicated, ad more to like it to be made (and syndicated) .
However it seems that the same circumstances as above remain true for that video.
So, than what do we do? Do we go out and openly talk about biid in public?
At face value, that would seem like a good idea.
That is until you actually do it. For my experiences at least, the responses received are rather condescending and counter productive, that is if it elicits any responses at all. However, I will state that I have heard a few positive and productive responses, but again they're from those same people as described above.
So, the question remain what do we do? Do we include words and phrases like "michigan lottery," "marise tomei" or "mega millions winning numbers" in every post or article we write about? Those words and phrases are few example of the most searched for at the time I wrote this.
So what is there to do? Continue to write about biid, of which people who have or know of it are likely to find, and we get no where. Openly discuss it in public, and not only just receive comments along the lines of "you're crazy," "you're insane," "you should be locked up," but actually having people attempt to act on those. Some of those attempt are actually successful. At least with the latter option we actually do get somewhere, however in the wrong direction.
I am aware of that there are people who actually have the opposite responses, however they seem to be the exception of the norm.
